When exposed to UV light, the photosensitive layer undergoes a chemical reaction, creating image areas that attract ink while repelling water. This property allows the non-image areas to remain hydrophilic and not attract ink.
  2. To create a print using a PS Plate, the plate is first exposed to UV light, which initiates the chemical reaction and forms the image areas. The unexposed portions of the photosensitive layer are then removed through processing, leaving only the image areas on the plate.
